Abu Dhabi, 12 Dec 2011: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank “ADCB” recently sponsored the SME Advisor Star of Business Summit and Awards. The event, which aims to provide a platform conducive to knowledge sharing and showcasing best practices in the UAE SME sector, was organised by SME Advisor (part of CPI Group) and was held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai on the 28th of November 2011.
Through its sponsorship of the event, ADCB once again reaffirms its commitment to working with SME’s in the UAE. In partnership with SME Advisor, a leading publication in the SME sector, ADCB hopes to further facilitate knowledge transfer and the creation of SME leaders here in the UAE.
Commenting on the recent sponsorship, Howard Gaunt, Head - Business Banking at ADCB said, “ADCB is proud to be associated with the SME Advisor Stars of Business Summit and Awards. At ADCB, we understand that it is important to support this business sector, which often has to cope with limited resources in what can often be a challenging operating environment. This event serves as a critical outlet to support the UAE SME sector.”

During the event, attendees at the summit were exposed to internationally respected business “gurus”, who offered insight on new business practices and innovation in the SME sector. Winners were selected by a panel of experts from 26 categories. In total there were over 3,500 audited nominations which were shortlisted.
